Wettbewerbsaufgabe
Revolutionieren Sie Texturen. Revolutionieren Sie mit XTONE.
Competition assignment
The XTONE Awards were created with the aim of showcasing the talent of professionals in creating functional kitchens and spaces, designed by kitchen stores and interior designers who make our surfaces a key element in contemporary design: resistant, hygienic, sustainable, elegant, and functional.
If your project turns the material into something memorable, this is your chance. The kitchen revolution starts with the countertop. And it continues in every detail.
Revolutionize textures. Revolutionize with XTONE.

Summumstudio receives double recognition at the XTONE Awards for Its VS Office Project
Summumstudio has been honored with two awards in the first edition of the XTONE Awards thanks to VS Office – Kepri Management, a project that reinterprets the way we live and work within a single space. The studio received an Honorable Mention in the Singular Project category and the First Prize in Furniture Design—both awarded to the same project, celebrated for its material coherence and contemporary vision.
A Penthouse Transformed into a Model of Contemporary Living
VS Office is based on the transformation of an old residence into a hybrid space that blurs the boundaries between domestic life and the professional world. The proposal defines a flexible, open, and quiet architecture that naturally adapts to the different rhythms of the day and to the multiple functions required by an environment that is both operational and intimate.
The intervention is organized around a fluid narrative in which each area connects without losing its own identity. The project avoids rigid compartmentalization and opts for a continuous reading of the space, fostering a close, human, and efficient experience.
Singular Project: Material as an Architectural Language
The jury highlighted the project’s ability to integrate XTONE material transversally—not as a mere surface treatment, but as an architectural resource that structures the whole. Its application flows through the space across surfaces, volumes, and built elements that unify the atmosphere and bring visual clarity.
This holistic approach, where the material becomes a narrative framework, is what led VS Office to receive the Honorable Mention in the Singular Project category.
Furniture Design: Pieces that Extend the Space
The project includes a series of bespoke furniture pieces designed by Summumstudio and crafted in the same material, reinforcing the conceptual continuity. These elements include the executive desk, kitchen components, niches, staircase, fireplace, wine cabinet, and a suspended lamp created specifically for the project.
Each piece is conceived as a natural extension of the interior architecture, applying the material with the right precision, scale, and thickness for its specific function. This formal and technical coherence was key to winning the First Prize in Furniture Design.
An Architecture that Supports New Ways of Living and Working
With VS Office, Summumstudio proposes a model of hybrid space that responds to a contemporary reality where personal and professional spheres are increasingly intertwined. Spatial clarity, attention to detail, and the honest use of material consolidate this project as an example of how architecture can support more flexible, intimate, and efficient ways of life.
