As an important part of building the international aviation hub and national railway hub in Shenzhen, Airport East Integrated Transportation Hub integrates aviation, high-speed railway, intercity railway, urban track, bus, taxi, car and other modes of transportation, featuring the development of air-railway transport. According to the plan, the Airport East High-speed railway Station (Shenzhen Airport Station) will be provided underground with 6 platforms and 14 lines, engaging the departure and arrival business for the Shenzhen - Maoming Railway and other lines; Terminal ABD of the airport will be demolished to build East Terminal Area, with a planned capacity of no less than 15 million passengers/year (be flexible to some extent), mainly serving domestic passengers, and reserving the conditions for serving international passengers; intercity lines and four subway lines are also provided at the hub. The hub area occupies an land area of 117.6 ha.
1. Architectural design contents of East Terminal Area, transportation hub and superstructure
The architectural design of East Terminal Area, transportation hub and superstructure represents the focus for this RFP. In areas with complex traffic conditions and limited construction conditions, conduct the design for the integrated transportation hub (including high-speed railway, terminal area, intercity railway, urban rail transit, rapid transit system, motor vehicular facilities) and superstructure development as a whole, specify the layout, circulations and vertical layout of buildings, realize the seamless connection and integrated design of various functions, and put forward suggestions on the feasible development design and phased implementation of the integrated transportation hub and superstructure.
2. Hub area urban design content
By referencing the successful air-railway transport hubs at home and abroad, study the overall planning of the terminal area, transportation hub and whole hub area; make clear the connection relationship between plots in the hub area, specify the layout and the structural reservation design of the basement levels, and conduct the urban design for the hub area in terms of functional organization, traffic circulations, 3D space form, landscape and important nodes for the integrated functions, traffic and style of the hub area.
3. Integrated transportation planning content
Comprehensively consider the access traffic of East Terminal Area, hub transportation distribution and superstructure development, and propose the the traffic organization design and the layout of such facilities as the road system, slow traffic system and parking system; in view of the overall traffic demand of the hub, refine the access traffic organization and propose the traffic network planning and important node design, to establish an efficient and coordinated integrated transportation system.
