Das Elie Wiesel Nationale Institut für das Studium des Holocausts in Rumänien kündigt die Organisation eines Lösungswettbewerbs bezüglich der Gestaltung der Dauerausstellung und der Nebenräume des Nationalen Museums für die Geschichte des rumänischen Judentums und des Holocausts an.
Im September 2016 wurde durch den Regierungsbeschluss Nr. 625/2016 das Nationale Institut Elie Wiesel für das Studium des Holocausts in Rumänien mit der Organisation, Koordination und Schaffung des Nationalmuseums für die Geschichte des rumänischen Judentums und des Holocausts beauftragt.
Der Zweck des Nationalmuseums für die Geschichte des rumänischen Judentums und des Holocausts ist es, die Geschichte, Kultur und Traditionen der jüdischen Gemeinden in Rumänien zu präsentieren und zu fördern und das lokale und internationale Publikum über die Beiträge dieser nationalen Minderheit zur Evolution und Entwicklung der rumänischen Gesellschaft im Laufe der Zeit zu unterrichten.
Darüber hinaus wird die Tätigkeit der zukünftigen Institution eine wichtige Bildungskomponente beinhalten, deren zentrale Elemente der Schutz der Erinnerung an die Opfer des Holocaust und die Förderung der Nicht-Diskriminierung sein werden.
Standort: Das Museum wird im Stadtzentrum von Bukarest errichtet, in einer der emblematischsten Gegenden der Stadt, der Calea Victoriei Straße, im Banloc-Goodrich Gebäude, das vom Architekten Octav Doicescu in den 1940er Jahren projektiert wurde.

”Elie Wiesel” National Institute for the Study of the Holocaust in Romania announces the organization of a solution contest regarding the design of the permanent exhibition and the auxiliary spaces of the National Museum of the History of the Romanian Jewry and the Holocaust.
In September 2016, by Government Decision no. 625/2016, the “Elie Wiesel” National Institute for the Study of the Holocaust in Romania was tasked with the organization, coordination, and creation of the National Museum of the History of the Romanian Jewry and the Holocaust.
The purpose of the National Museum of the History of the Romanian Jewry and the Holocaust is to present and promote the history, culture, and traditions of the Jewish communities in Romania and to educate local and international audiences on this national minority’s contributions to the evolution and development of Romanian society over time.
Moreover, the activity of the future institution will include a major educational component, the central elements of which will be to protect the memory of the Holocaust victims and to promote non-discrimination.
Location: the museum will be set up in the downtown of Bucharest, in one of the most emblematic areas of the city, Calea Victoriei street, in the Banloc-Goodrich building, projected by the architect Octav Doicescu, during the 1940s.

Participants
Contestants may be individual offices of architecture, joint ventures establishedby individual offices of architecture, civil companies of architecture or other legal means to exercise the profession of architect, according to the national law of their country of origin or legal persons (design companies) based in Romania or in other countries, either individually or in joint ventures. In the case of joint ventures, the designated leader will sign the project in the contest.
