International Design Competition

Wettbewerbsaufgabe
Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is consisting of 24 sections and 5 independent Operational Centers. One of them is located in Geneva as well as the International bureau of the MSF movement.
The Geneva Operational Center in Geneva is currently occupying offices which do not allow the organization to face increasing office space to support their actions on the field.
Looking for larger offices since years, le project for the construction of a new building was made possible by the fact that the State of Geneva, proposed a building lease on a ground in the perimeter of the main international organizations in Geneva.
The future building will host, the Operational Center of MSF in Switzerland who supports the activity of more than 6500 collaborators on the field as well as the “International Bureau”, the international secretariat of the MSF movement which includes the activities linked to the „Access Campaign to essentials medicines» and various international projects managed from Geneva. A total of 540 workstations is planned for this new building in phase 1 on a total surface of 10 000m2 above ground.The construction works are planned to start in spring 2019 and the move Q2 2021.
The Operational Centre in Geneva is inviting all the interested architects who comply with our conditions, to send their application for the final stage of the competition. Deadline for the receiving the applications is the 28th of April 2017 according to format and conditions described in the application documents.
