MATERA is a unique place, was the first site in Southern Italy to be named a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1993. The cultural landscape defines an extraordinary city, remembered with the acronym of „Città dei Sassi“ or „Città Sotte rranea“ for the presence of most old rural population in the world.
In this context of ancient atmosphere we want to imagine the new Museum of Culture, a container of traditions able to better enhance the historical elements that make up the identity of the city. Exhibition rooms of local crafts and laboratory for artistic workshops will connect visitors and the population to create new synergies. The Museum for Matera will combine the tradition of the past and contemporary instances.

There is no limit for the competition. Everybody who wants to deal with the theme proposed is allowed to participant in the contest, no matter their country of origin. There are no age limits, graduate students, graduates or professionals can enroll. You can participate as an individual or as a group.

Registration – 15th January – 30th April 2018
Special Entry – 15th January – 25th February 2018
(Fee Entry: EUR 30,00 for teams; EUR 20,00 for one participant)
Ordinary Entry – 26th February – 30th April 2018
(Fee Entry: EUR 40,00 for teams; EUR 25,00 for one participant)
Submission Deadline – 30th April 2018, by 23:59
Winners Announced – 21th May 2018
Preise / Awards
– The winner will receive a prize of 1000,00 euro (excluding TAX).
– Top three finishers will have an annual digital subscription to MARK MAGAZINE.
– The winners and mentioned will be publicate on instaur.it and startfortalents.net (and on all the sector portals that will promote the initiative), participation in future contests, workshops, and tours organized by instaura.it and startfortlanets.net.
