Wettbewerbsaufgabe
Die Holcim Foundation Awards sind der weltweit bedeutendste Wettbewerb für nachhaltiges Design. Projekte müssen mit Unterstützung eines Auftraggebers in der späten Entwurfsphase oder bereits in der Bauphase sein, vorausgesetzt, dass die Bauarbeiten nicht vor dem 11. Februar 2025 abgeschlossen sind.
Der Wettbewerb ist mit einem Preisgeld von insgesamt 1 Million US-Dollar in fünf Regionen dotiert: Asien-Pazifik, Europa, Lateinamerika, Naher Osten und Afrika sowie Nordamerika. Die Gewinner jeder Region erhalten ein Preisgeld in Höhe von 200.000 US-Dollar.
Unabhängige Fachjurys bewerteten die Beiträge anhand der Ziele der Holcim Foundation für nachhaltiges Bauen, die als Roadmap für den Systemwandel dienen: lebenswerte Orte, ein gesunder Planet, tragfähige Wirtschaft und florierende Gemeinschaften.

Competition assignment
The Holcim Foundation Awards are the world’s most significant competition for sustainable design. Projects must be client-supported and at late design phase or already under construction, provided construction is not completed before February 11, 2025.
The competition offers a prize pool of USD 1 million across five regions: Asia Pacific, Europe, Latin America, Middle East & Africa, and North America. USD 200,000 in prize money is allocated to winners in each region.
Independent expert juries evaluated entries using the Holcim Foundation’s goals for sustainable construction that serve as a road map to drive system change: uplifting places, a healthy planet, viable economics, and thriving communities.
