Das Dorf Oimjakon ist als Kältepol bekannt und steht auf der Liste der Orte mit den extremsten Bedingungen für das menschliche Leben. Die niedrigste Temperatur auf der Nordhalbkugel wurde dort mit -71,2°C gemessen. Man glaubt, dass dort der Hüter der Kälte der Welt, Chyskhaan, lebt. Die Yakut-Fröste ziehen Touristen aus der ganzen Welt an, darunter auch globale Prominente. Die Hollywood-Schauspieler Tom Hardy und Ewan MacGregor haben Oimjakon besucht. Die Regierung der Republik Sacha beabsichtigt, Oimjakon als eines der bedeutendsten Touristenziele in Sacha zu entwickeln und plant, die Zahl der Touristen bis 2028 um ein Vielfaches zu erhöhen.
Competition assignment
The village of Oymyakon is known as the pole of cold and is included in the list of settlements with the most extreme conditions for human life. The lowest temperature in the northern hemisphere was recorded there -71.2°C. It is believed that it is there that the keeper of the world’s cold, Chyskhaan, lives. The Yakut frosts attract tourists from all over the world, including global celebrities. Hollywood actors Tom Hardy and Ewan MacGregor have visited Oymyakon. The Government of the Republic of Sakha intends to develop Oymyakon as one of the most significant tourist sites in Yakutia and plans to increase the number of tourists several times by 2028.
