Wettbewerbsaufgabe
Der Royal Fine Art Commission Trust lädt zur Teilnahme an den Building Beauty Awards 2023 ein, die vom führenden Bauträger Ballymore gesponsert werden. Mit den Preisen werden Gebäude, Ingenieurbauwerke und städtische Landschaftsgestaltungsprojekte ausgezeichnet, die Großbritannien verschönern.

Der Geldpreis in Höhe von 12.000 Pfund für den Gesamtsieger ist der höchstdotierte Preis in der britischen Architektur. Der Gewinner wird Großbritannien im November beim World Architecture Festival in Singapur im Rennen um den Titel des schönsten neuen Gebäudes der Welt vertreten.

Teilnahmeberechtigt sind britische Projekte, die seit Anfang 2022 fertiggestellt wurden und für die Öffentlichkeit sichtbar sind.

Competition assignment
Entries are invited for the Royal Fine Art Commission Trust’s 2023 Building Beauty Awards, sponsored by leading developer Ballymore. The awards celebrate buildings, engineering structures and urban landscaping schemes that add beauty to Britain.

Jury
Stephen Bayley is the person for whom the term “design guru” was coined.
Paul Finch is programme director of the World Architecture Festival and a former chairman of CABE.
Alex Lifschutz is founding Principal of Lifschutz Davidson Sandilands Architects.
Alison Jackson is a BAFTA and multi award-winning artist, photographer and filmmaker.
Professor Hanif Kara is co-founder of the interdisciplinary engineering practice AKT II.
Piers Gough CBE RA is an acclaimed postmodern architect and leader in the profession.

Search begins today for Britain’s most beautiful building.
Entries invited for the UK’s richest architecture prize

Entries are invited for the Royal Fine Art Commission Trust’s 2023 Building Beauty Awards, sponsored by leading developer Ballymore. The awards celebrate buildings, engineering structures and urban landscaping schemes that add beauty to Britain.
 
The cash prize of £12,000 for the overall winner makes this the richest prize in UK architecture. And the winner will go on to represent the UK in the race to be crowned the world’s most beautiful new building at the World Architecture Festival in Singapore in November.
 
UK projects completed since the start of 2022 and visible to the public are eligible. Everyone from architects to members of the public is welcome to submit an entry at buildingbeautyawards.com. The deadline for entries is 15 May.
 
Stephen Bayley Hon FRIBA, Chairman of the Royal Fine Art Commission Trust and one of Britain’s foremost design critics, will chair the judging panel. The winners will be announced at a glittering award ceremony in London in November 2023. 
 
Tintagel Castle Footbridge in Cornwall was named overall winner of the 2022 Building Beauty Awards, presented by Lord Foster of Thames Bank at the Bloomberg European Headquarters in London.
