Titel: Visitor center at Astruptunet - prequalification

Beschreibung: Nikolai Astrup (1880 – 1928) is one of Norway's best-known artists and has had exhibitions in Norway, England, Germany, the USA and Sweden in both 2016 and 2021/22. Astruptunet - the beautiful artist's home of Nikolai Astrup and his wife Engel, lies harmoniously up the mountainside on the south side of Jølstravatnet. Astruptunet is a work of art in itself. Both the buildings, the interior and the garden are recognizable in the artwork, and much of this was created and shaped by Nikolai Astrup. Sunnfjord municipality is the owner of the land and buildings in the yard. The museums in Sogn og Fjordane are operated by Astruptunet, regulated through an operating agreement with the municipality. Sunnfjord municipality wishes to establish a Visitor center at Astruptunet. With the major restoration of the buildings and reconstruction of the yard and garden, it is crucial to find good solutions when more and more visitors want to visit the hometown and experience the art of Nikolai Astrup. Sunnfjord municipality invites you to a planning and design competition for a new Visitor center at Astruptunet. The planning and design competition is open to architects and landscape architects with an approved exam equivalent to a master's degree, or individuals and companies who can document the corresponding competence. The National Association of Norwegian Architects (NAL) announces this planning and design competition on behalf of Sunnfjord municipality. See the competition program for more information.
