Inspirational Moments of Light
Light has often been cited as a symbol of hope with the power to unify humanity. At a time when we’re all searching for ways to be optimistic, we’re looking at the way light enhances our everyday lives in an attempt to find positivity in the darkness.
Over the next two weeks (1 May–15 May) we’re inviting our community to seek out and share inspirational moments of light through our Light Up Your Lockdown photography competition. Whether it be a beautiful shaft of light across the wall or floor in your home, or the mesmerising way light filters through a tree on your daily walk, we want you to capture personal experiences with light through a single photograph. Together, we can look to alleviate the darkness and draw on the power of light to provide small but uplifting moments throughout your day.
To enter Nulty’s Light Up Your Lockdown photography competition simply take a photograph that expresses your feelings with light and post it on Instagram using @nultylighting and #lightupyourlockdown. At the end of the competition we’ll collate all of the entries and vote for our three favourite photographs – these will be announced on Tuesday 19 May. The three successful entries will each win an iconic Mathmos Lava Lamp, handcrafted in Dorset since 1963.
Photograph Submission Rules:
– Photographs can be created using any device capable of capturing a still image, including smartphones and digital cameras.
– Images that have been retouched by using camera apps, photo editing apps or other software will be accepted.
