International Summer School 2019 „Hospital & the City“
The European Network Architecture for Health (ENAH) is committed to enhance the sustainability of healthcare systems by integrating knowledge from urban planning, architecture, medical technologies, public health as well as health management and economics.
The ENAH Summer School programme in collaboration with Berlin University of Technology (Chair Architecture for Health) prepares participants for transdisciplinary work by complementing their core backgrounds with content from health sciences, planning and design disciplines.
The one-week course addresses master students, post-graduates and young professionals who wish to delve into the field of architecture & management in health care as well as health-promoting urban planning.
It evolves on central questions of hospital planning in a healthy urban context and is composed of the following main topics:
- Healthy urban planning
- Architectural planning of Healthcare Buildings
- Healthcare Management
- Evidence in Design for better Outcomes
The summer school is particularly distinguished by a transdisciplinary approach, which combines strategies from architecture and urban planning with input from the health sciences and healthcare management.
The teaching staff includes top-class experts:
