Dezeen Awards is our annual awards programme, now in its fifth year. It identifies the world‘s best architecture, interiors and design, as well as the studios and the individual architects and designers producing the most outstanding work.

 

Organised by Dezeen, the world‘s most popular and influential architecture and design website, Dezeen Awards is the benchmark for international design excellence and the ultimate accolade for architects and designers everywhere.

 

There are 47 categories that you can enter in total:

 

In the sectors of architecture, interiors and design, there are 12 project categories and two studio categories each. The studio categories have been specifically created to highlight the architects and designers producing the most outstanding work.

 

There are also three overall project winners, one in each of the sectors of architecture, interiors and design. These categories cannot be entered into, but will be chosen by our master jury from the winners of each of the project categories.

 

These three categories celebrate projects that make positive environmental and social contributions.

 

These special awards will be assessed by a specially selected jury of sustainability experts from the world of architecture and design. Judges will be announced soon.

 

Last year we launched five media categories for photography, video, visualisations and websites.

 

The categories will reward excellence in the way architecture, interiors and design are communicated and promoted.

Only completed projects may be entered. Speculative or unrealised designs are not eligible. To be eligible for entry to Dezeen Awards 2022, architecture and interiors projects must have been completed between 1 June 2020 and 2 June 2022. To be considered as completed, architecture projects need to have been handed over to the client. Design projects must have been exhibited as final prototypes or have gone into production between 1 June 2020 and 2 June 2022.

 

All entries must be submitted by or on behalf of the designer, architect or studio chiefly responsible for the project and named as such in press and publicity material. Entries submitted on behalf of a designer, studio or architecture firm must be done so with their permission. Joint entries are allowed if the project was designed by more than one designer or company.

 

Entries must be submitted by 23:59 UK time on the night of each deadline day.

 

8 February 2022: Dezeen Awards 2022 opens for entry

30 March 2022: early entry deadline

1 June 2022: standard entry deadline

8 June 2022: late entry deadline

8-12 August 2022: longlists announced online

5-9 September 2022: shortlists announced online

17-21 October 2022: public vote winners announced online

21-25 November 2022: winners revealed
