About the Competition
After the first edition in 2020, chorus architecture organizes the third edition of the international competition archi now: sustainability first steppers contest on the theme : contextual 2.0 : building sustainability with knowledge
Achieving sustainability is a process. It requires the understanding of the ever-changing contexts. In the build environment, knowledge, is perceived as having the potential to enhance understanding and interpretation.
How and why do you:
- Generate knowledge?
- Design or Create knowledge?
- Master, make use of Knowledge?
Understanding, analysis and mastery of a degree of both quantitative and qualitative information in connection with the context of intervention or of applicability.
Interpretation, production of know-how or know-why with the objectives of achieving transformation, longevity, flexibility, adaptability, assembly, disassembly, reuse and recovery, in consideration of present or future climate risks.
Beyond any stylistic (aesthetic) or programmatic,
- Whether the method is analytical or numerical,
- The system passive or active,
- The approach organic or AI based,
- The focus in the use of nature or smart tools,
- Intelligence will have to be the engine of the architectural and/or urban Response.
Contextual 2.0 toward post carbon or low carbon, referring directly to the ability to add on, to extend, and to stretch the limit of green -circular economy based design responses and or cultural trends with the aim generate new idea or activate positive reinterpretation on earth as elsewhere….!
Eligibility
- Participation in the competition is entirely free
- All applications must be in english only
- All informations must be provided in english only
- Applications are individual or as a team depending on the school
- Candidates must have completed their architectural studies
- The competition is intended for architects graduating from all Architecture Schools all around the world
