Introduction
"Architectural Narratives" is a photography competition, where we invite photographers to explore the history of architecture through the lens of their cameras. Architecture has always played a significant role in shaping societies and reflecting the spirit of different eras. This competition aims to celebrate the rich and diverse history of architecture around the world, highlighting its cultural, artistic, and functional aspects. Through your photographs, we want to see how you can tell compelling stories about architectural heritage, design, and evolution.
Objective
The objective of this competition is to showcase the historical significance of architecture and its impact on our lives. Participants are encouraged to capture the essence of time and space by emphasizing the unique characteristics, details, and stories behind iconic buildings or lesser-known architectural gems. The photographs should evoke a sense of awe, curiosity, and appreciation for the architectural heritage that surrounds us.
Judging Criteria:
• Creativity and Originality: How the photographer has approached the subject matter and presented their unique vision.
• Composition and Technique: The use of composition, lighting, perspective, and other technical elements to create visually impactful images.
• Historical Context and Storytelling: The ability to convey the architectural history and significance through the photograph and accompanying description.
• Overall Impact: The emotional and intellectual impact of the image on the viewer.
Participation:
• This competition is open to all.
Submission Requirements:
• Each participant can submit up to three photographs.
• Photographs should be accompanied by a short description (100-150 words) explaining the architectural subject and its historical significance.
Timeline:
Registration deadline: 31st December 2023
Submission Starts: 1st December 2023
Submission Ends: 5th January 2024
Result Announcement: 21st April 2024

No entry fees.

• Winners (X3): Certificate of achievement + Publication + Interview
• Honourable mentions (X3): Certificates + Publication
• Shortlisted entries (X10): Certificates
*All the certificates will be attested and e-format.
