The Antepavilion Commission offers emerging architects, artists, designers, craftsmen, and anyone else, an opportunity to create new work through direct hands-on construction. Works are put on temporary display within the Columbia and Brunswick Wharf complex, a unique urban environment, situated on the Regents Canal in Haggerston, East London.

 

For 2025 the Antepavilion brief returns to the location at the origins of the competition: the North-West corner of the Hoxton Docks rooftops. The prominence of this position has made it Antepavilion’s signature display space since 2016 when it was first occupied by Matthew Butcher‘s Flood House. Since then it has hosted a series of displays of art/architecture and performances.

 

The Antepavilion competition is open to everyone; no qualifications are required.

 

Closing date for entries: 14 March 2025

Winners will be notified: 11 April 2025

Installation: over a period of no more than 6 weeks in June or July 2025

Opening event: 1 August 2025
