Wettbewerbsaufgabe / Competition Task

To whom it may concern,
Each year after Christmas Eve, I’m left with a huge pile of extra gifts – toys, games and other stuff that never get delivered due to various reasons. This year I decided to do something about it, and I came up with the idea of building an epic Winter Wonderland Outlet where I can make the gifts available and share the spirit of the season with everyone.

For this, I found an old shopping mall in Poland. It turns out the building needs some serious renovation. There’s a lot of work to do to make it into the spectacular Winter Wonderland Outlet I envisioned it to be.

This is where you come in. I desperately need your help in renovating the building façade and for
that I’m arranging the Unbelievable Challenge 2017. I need all the ideas I can get from you, young,
aspiring architects and architectural students, to make my dream come true.

So please study the instructions carefully, work hard, and let your imagination fly.
Your ideas are greatly valued.

Wishing you the best of luck,

The big idea: What is your unique, inspiring and innovative solution for Mr. Santa Claus’ epic Winter Wonderland Outlet?

Mr. Santa Claus’ main idea is to create an inspiring and exciting shopping mall front that provides
a setting for unique experiences and attracts big customer flows. That is to say, the design should
invite people to visit and spend time inside the mall.

Ruukki building materials are to be utilised as a part of the overall design.
